Have been reading an article encouraging data centres to use renewable energy to power the data centres. However, I for one think that data centres should make use of the thermal power within the data centre to use it to power most of the power used by the data centre.
Logically, it makes sense. All servers emit lots of heat and that's why data centres require quite a bit of cooling. Why don't anyone find a way to channel the thermal heat in the servers to generate energy which can be used to power the cooling? The lesser heat needed, the lesser cooling that is needed. The input and output is directly related.
Oh well...
