I quote from Henry Ford:
Most people spend more time and energy going around problems than in trying to solve them.
How often do we take the easy way out in resolving a problem instead of resolving the root cause? I would say we do it quite often. The problem lies that in some cases, it's just not worth the effort to resolve the root cause as it would cause a ripple effect that would cause far more impact.
However, the situation sometimes does call for such an action and you might find the solution to be quite simple.
Therefore, one should always find out the root cause of the problem and see if it can be resolved depending on the current situation. If not, keep the solution in view and see if you have the chance to use it.
