Enough sleep will give you a healthy life

Read an article recently where scientist have found that a week of sleeping six hours or less a night affects the expression of some 711 genes -- including those involved in inflammation, immunity, and stress responses.

What does that mean? It just means that you will be most vulnerable to sickness if you do not have enough sleep as your body is not able to rest and recover itself from the activities when you were awake.

Recent survey also shows that 64% of Singaporeans work 50 hours a week. Assuming you're working 5 days a week, that will mean that they work 10 hours in a day. Assuming the following:
  1. 2 hours: Transport
  2. 1 hour: breakfast
  3. 1 hour: lunch
  4. 2 hours: dinner (including waiting, and journey)
  5. 1 hour: Hygiene time.

That would only leave 7 hours for sleep, personal time, and housework. No prizes for guessing which one will be sacrificed.

Our general health going down? We all know why.
