In dwelling, live close to the ground. In thinking, keep to the simple. In conflict, be fair and generous. In governing, don't try to control. In work, do what you enjoy. In family life, be completely present.
Just a thought. Other than applying this to us, shouldn't the government function base on this principle?

LaoTzu was advising humans and not higher mortals.
Higher mortals don't enjoy their work and need lots of $$$ from hardworking humans to bolster their dignities.
