Recently there was an article talking about the money you saved if you live further away from the city centre because the cost of housing further away from the city centre is much cheaper. However, I have an issue with this article. How do you measure the cost of time?
The issue is that most workplaces are in the city centre and traveling to the city centre for work is something that all of us are familiar with. If you're living further away, you'll naturally take a longer time to get to work.
How do you measure the cost of time lost? The time lost because of lesser sleep? The time lost as there is lesser time for family bonding?
Not everything can be monetised and seriously, family time and family bonding is irreplaceable.
