Edit HTML Code using TextEdit

As someone who is partially using the Apple MacBook to develop systems, I wonder why I could not edit HTML code with TextEdit. For a time, I was using vi to edit HTML code until I found out that TextEdit do support it.

Do the following to enable editing of HTML Code:
  1. Run TextEdit
  2. Goto TextEdit > Preferences
  3. Click on the Open and Save tab
  4. Under the header When opening a file:, check Ignore rich text commands in HTML files
  5. Exit

That's all to it... Now whenever you open a HTML file with TextEdit, you see the code instead of how the HTML page suppose to look like.
